Why can’t we talk about it?

It feels like there is a wet blanket laid over any discussion about God or higher reality. Most people are scared to talk about it.

Wonder why?...

Maybe we have scared them off.

Maybe us Christians have put...

people off by being too forceful and condemning.

Or maybe we always want to defend the Christian position on anything from creation to abortion.

I suspect we need to ask more questions and do more listening:

Questions like:

THEN we can talk about what we believe.

Maybe we should try “Well I believe this”

Rather than “This is the way it is?”

YES we do believe it is true –

but in a relativistic world people just shut down when we are dogmatic.

Let’s crack the ice and talk about it. Let’s discuss and debate intelligently –

at least it would be more interesting than the election at the moment.
