Science and Christianity - a false dichotomy.

Science can tell us all about how the world works ... but not what it all means...

Dr Eric McCreath from ANU spoke at FOCUS this week on Science and Christianity...

and how the apparent disparity between them is not real...

but they cover different things...

For example science tells us what damage a bullet will do to a human body,

but not whether it is right or not.

Science has done great things - but has its own limits ...

Science deals in the realm of objective data and analysis

but it doesn't set its own reason for doing science, nor its own direction..

that is a philosophical or value judgment.

In fact science is about discovering the what and the how of the world God has made for us to explore.

Christianity is about who made it and why we are here.

Hence in Phil 3:8 he says: "I consider EVERYTHING a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord".

Everything else pales into insignificance.....

What does this look like....
